Accident by Joanne Simon Tailele

Imagine spending the next ten years of your life in a cell the size of your walk in closet.

Susan Jennings, an alcoholic soccer-mom buried her secret past behind the bottle until one fateful day when her addiction caused a fatal car accident.

Now Susan must find a way to survive inside the dangerous prison walls and win her teenage daughter’s forgiveness before Deanna also falls prey to the devil hiding behind the clergyman’s collar.

From the Author: Accident is my debut novel. It addresses the challenging issues of alcoholism in middle class America and sex abuse in the clergy. It’s the cause and effect of how these events can change the lives of entire families and the struggles to keep the cycle from repeating.

About the Author: Joanne Simon Tailele, a midwest girl from Youngstown Ohio, wrote her first short story at the age of ten in blue colored pencil. For most of her life, writing was private, for her own enjoyment and therapy. In 2010, she challenged herself to write a 50K novel in 30 days. Two and a half years of edits and rewrites later, it was ready for publication. Accident is the reincarnated version of that story.

Her second novel, Town Without Mercy, was released January, 2014. Joanne currently resides on Marco Island on the SW Gulf coast of Florida with her husband. The proud the parents of 8 his-and-hers kids and 9 grandkids, they spend their time boating and enjoying the white sandy beach of Marco Island when she is not writing.

Rehoming Pigeon by Joanne Simon Tailele

When Cecile Boudreaux and husband, Armand, adopt six-year-old Natalia from Russia, they think their dreams of being a whole family are complete. But things don’t go exactly as planned. Natalia has her own agenda to get back to her brother, Nikolai no matter what.

When things reach a breaking point, unthinkable decisions have to be made. It will take love and loss before everyone recognizes the many faces of family.

Review: Joanne Tailele’s novel, Rehoming Pigeons: I was happily engaged in the story’s clever melding of seemingly unconnected events. And, those taking place inside dark Russia. Not only of the vivid physical descriptions but of the social/political environment of the time. I felt I was actually there experiencing it.
